![]() SAN FRANCISCO: The 16th Annual Susan G. Komen SF Bay Area Affiliate Survivors Lunch honored individuals and groups who focus on breast cancer. The awards lunch took place over the weekend and saw the contributions of time, talent and resources of Bay Area community members get the recognition that they deserve. A total of four award recipients were announced at the Annual Survivors Lunch at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco. Presented by the Board President, Anita Brink, this year's awards were chosen from throughout nine Bay Area counties and included a vintner, physical therapist, volunteer and real estate company. All the recipients actions have focused attention on the challenges of breast cancer survivors and the importance of early detection to save lives:
About the Susan G. Komen San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate The Susan G. Komen San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate was founded in 1987 by Joanne and Rick Horning to take care of underserved women and their families who need help in their fight against breast cancer. The organization is volunteer-focused and directed.
