SAN FRANCISCO: BART passengers will soon be able to take a trip to the future, as the transport provider reveals their newly designed and updated train carriages to the general public for the first time.
BART will be making life-size models of the new cars available for viewing at a series of planned events across the Bay Area between April 16th and May 9th.
Members of the public are invited to experience the 'look and feel' of the new fleet during these special outreach events where they will get to walk through the model train car and provide feedback on the new modern features. This tour is the final review of the train car design before manufacturing and testing begin.
The new cars will be manufactured by Bombardier Transportation and will include features such as noise-reducing doors, an updated seat design and a new digital information system.
