Suspect arrested in fatal hit and run that saw woman in her 80's killed as she crossed the road
SAN FRANCISCO: Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department have arrested a female suspect in relation to a fatal hit and run that occurred on March 20th.
The arrest was made in a joint operation by officers from Ingleside Police Station and Traffic Collision Investigations Unit (TCIU) at a residence in the Visitation Valley District of the city.
Officers arrested without incident, and took into custody a 31-year-old female named as Nidra Stubbs at around 11:45 am yesterday morning. Stubbs was booked at the San Francisco County Jail on a felony - hit and run, and misdemeanor - vehicular manslaughter charges.
On March 20 the victim, a female in her 80’s was crossing using a crosswalk on Visitation Avenue when she was struck by a Dodge Durango, driven by Stubbs that was making a left turn onto Bayshore Blvd.
Investigators from the Traffic Collision Investigations Unit worked on investigative leads which identified the suspect.
